A Letter from Tax Partners Co-Founder Paul Dyer

As the founder of a financial advisory firm, I quickly learned the value of collaborating with CPAs and other tax professionals when designing financial plans for my clients. As I became a national coach and started my speaking tour of how to run a well-diversified financial advisory practice, I found many quality advisors and CFPs around the country that shared the same need: a network partnership with a good tax professional or CPA. Until now, however, they were unable to solidify a good working relationship that was dependable, effective, and most importantly, non-adversarial with a CPA.

Furthermore, I found that even if a financial advisory firm already worked with tax professionals, those relationships would become interrupted at the most inopportune moments. Their CPA partner would die, have a family health emergency, or would become otherwise unavailable during the most crucial times. This made the financial advisor look bad, even though the problem had little to do with him.

I began my search for a more permanent solution to the problem, and I am happy to now be the co-founder of Tax Partners, LLC. It solved these crucial issues of control and quality, which had been so prevalent in other practices I had seen in my travels. Working with Tax Partners, LLC allows me to be the “tax preparer” in the eyes of my clients, yet leaves me few of the responsibilities, and none of the problems, that come with being a preparer.

You have chosen to join one of our select partners, Sound Tax Network, a service of Asset Marketing Systems. I researched and picked our partners carefully, so I can assure you that you’ve chosen well. We are looking forward to helping your practice!
